TREE SCAVENGER HUNT -begins September 21, ends October 20 -PRIZES!
The library is partnering with the Town’s Arbor Committee to offer another fun, self-guided program.
Between Wednesday, September 21 and Friday, October 20, we challenge you to find special trees in Essex. This fun family program will get you outside hiking and observing the beautiful trees all around you. Can you find the local tree with the biggest circumference? Can you find a tree that looks like it has a face? These are two of the categories you will be looking for.
A scavenger hunt card for the program will be available at the library, and on our Website beginning September 21.
Scavenger hunt cards may be picked up at the library, or downloaded by clicking here.
Turn in your entry by Friday, October 20 and then join us on Saturday, October 21 for a tree planting and prize award ceremony.
We wish to thank the Champlain Peony Farm for generously providing prizes for this activity and the Town’s Arbor Committee for partnering with us on this activity. |
