the library will open for curbside pickup only

Requests from our library can be made by calling 518-963-8079 during library hours, or by e-mailing at any time.  Requests are limited to two library materials for now.  Requests will be filled when the library is staffed on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  As always, requests will be on a first come, first serve basis, and your name will be placed in a queue for high demand items.

To search our books, you can visit the online catalog on our website at  From the top of our home page, select “Search the Catalog”, and then you can select “Search Essex Library Collection” or “Search All CEF Library Collections” to find library materials that interest you. There are also options to narrow your search.  Currently, our Clinton Essex Franklin Library System (CEFLS) interlibrary loan service is not available as there is no van delivery service at this time.  Additionally, On-line Requesting is currently not available.  You can request library materials that reside at another CEFLS member library; however, the library materials will need to be requested and picked up directly from that particular library, and also returned directly to that library by you, the borrower.  Your BNML membership card can be used at all CEFLS member libraries.  Library materials can only be requested by phone or email.  Please note that not all libraries are offering Curbside Pickup at this point.

Information Needed to Request Library Material:

Your First and Last Name;

Your Library Card Barcode Number;

Your Phone Number and/or Email;

Title of Library Material and Author (if applicable).

When your request is filled, you will be called or emailed (whichever you prefer), and the library materials will be placed on the table outside the library entrance door when you confirm your pickup time with the Library staff.  Pickups can only be completed during library hours.  Please respect social distancing and wear a face mask when picking up library materials.  Your safety is our number one priority.

Library materials may be returned to our book return bin located outside the library at any time.
