Mark and Erin purchased their home on Lakeshore Road in 2006 and took on the task of restoring and improving the structure (learning a lot from friends and neighbors along the way).
Mark was born in Montreal and raised in Providence RI, where he graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He later worked for the award-winning architecture firm Samyn & D’Elia Architects. Several years later, having found Essex and the Adirondacks, Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit was sparked and he formed Hall Design Group.
Erin graduated from RISD with a degree in textile design and then worked for several residential textile mills in the U.S. and abroad. Her textile background was a natural fit with Hall Design Group, where she assists clients selecting interior finishes and furnishings. Five years ago, she started Erin Hall Studio, a thriving home décor and online gift shop featuring her hand silkscreened products.

Lawson’s roots in Essex go back to 1903 when her paternal grandmother first rented a house at the Crater Club and then bought John Burnham’s Camp in 1913. She is a clinical social worker who worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and as a school counselor. She is currently a gallery instructor to school groups at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
Clint is a serial entrepreneur. He grew up in Brockton, Mass. (a “shoe town”), went to Harvard on full scholarship, and then to Wall Street. He has built and run many businesses from writing books while in college to his current position as founder and president of the American College of Corporate Directors.
They will discuss these and additional experiences at the event.

Did you know the Belden Noble Library has museum passes you can borrow? The passes are available to valid card holders only and must be picked up at and returned to the Belden Noble library – they cannot be sent via inter-library loan.  Passes are on a first-come first serve basis and can not be reserved. Passes must be returned within 3 days of check out.
